Dreier’s economic policy creates a burden

I read the Daily Bulletin's piece regarding the race in the 26th Congressional District between Russ Warner and David Dreier.

The article begged the question: Why did Dreier choose to attack Warner instead of touting his own accomplishments? I mean, Dreier has been our congressman for 28 years.

He should have a long list of legislative accomplishments to run on instead of taking cheap shots at Warner.

One of our most important priorities in 2008 is helping raise awareness in the 26th Congressional District about the disconnect between Rep. David Dreier's misleading rhetoric and his actual record of rubber-stamping the policies of President George W. Bush. According to Congressional Quarterly, David Dreier voted with Bush approximately 93.6% of the time between 2001 and 2007. While some may think that Rep. Dreier is a moderate, independent voice in congress, the reality is that he is neither. The only "constituent" David Dreier has consistently represented in Congress is President Bush.
